Great Grandmama

We picked up the girls on Christmas eve, and drove straight to Mama’s for family Christmas. We’ve celebrated on Christmas Eve, ever since I married Sweet Friend, in 1984. That way, our birth family celebration didn’t clash with in-law’s. And the system has worked great, thru all the different in-laws.

The only fly in the ointment, as one buzzes around my head now, was how hot Mama’s apt is. Her a/c doesn’t work well for a crowd, at ALL. (BTW: the one around my head is now passe. RIP. Haha, just kiddin!! Rest in pieces!!)

We had a great dinner, featuring ham. YUM!!

But we forgot to read Luke 2, this year. I almost fainted, when I found out!! (We were late.) After all, Mama is an ordained minister~~

Presents were in plentiful supply! I don’t even remember what the girls got, cuz I was busy talking to my brother. I haven’t seen him in months.

All 3 of us siblings, present and accounted for. Only 1 in-love was not there. We missed you Shirley!! All 3 of Michelle’s children were there. Both of Curtis’ were too!! Been many years since that happened!! And all 3 of his grandchildren. Only my 2 girls, daughters, not grands, were missing. 😦 We missed you DDs 1&2.

Despite the sweaty faces, a good time was had by all. I love my family!!

And today Michelle ordered Mama one of those small room A/Cs, that don’t have to vent outdoors. Valentine’s Day will be so much cooler!
